Krystal Clark was recently released from isolation and placed in the unit of Women’s Huron Valley (a.k.a. the valley of death) that is known throughout the prison for having the worst mold infestation. We’ve received reports from Krystal that the walls of her cell are covered in mold, the sinks in the unit are broken and covered in plastic, and there is black debris in the drinking water which was confirmed by maintenance staff to be mold. There are 94 people in this unit, including Krystal who is severely allergic to mold and believes she was placed in this unit as retaliation for speaking out about the conditions impacting her health and the health of everyone at WHV.
