FANNIE AND FREDDIE

Presented during Honk! Festival in Somerville, MA in 2013, and in collaboration with City Life/Vida Urbana and Rude Mechanical Orchestra, AgitArte | Papel Machete created the characters, Fannie and Freddie (based on the government-sponsored enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) in protest of predatory lending practices and calling for the immediate halt to foreclosures and evictions. This project was created in support of City Life/Vida Urbana’s anti-foreclosure campaign.
